Followers are people who chose to see what you share. Growing that number takes time and steady effort, not tricks. This guide covers the tools KONBIT already gives you and the habits that help people find you and stay.

Why followers matter

  • More people see your posts, Woulo and Istwa in their Following feed.
  • Conversations start faster when people already know your voice.
  • At 500,000 followers you can request a verified badge in Settings. You pick a category, send the request once, and an admin reviews it.

Set up a profile people want to follow

  • Use a clear screen name that people will recognize.
  • Add a real profile photo. Accounts with a face or a clear logo are easier to trust.
  • Write a short bio that says what you post about.
  • Keep the Public profile switch on in Settings, Privacy, so KONBIT can suggest you to new members.

Post what people come for

  • Woulo short videos are the easiest way to be discovered. Open with the point in the first seconds.
  • Istwa keep your current followers close with quick, everyday moments.
  • Regular posts work well for questions, news you care about and longer thoughts.
  • Post on a regular rhythm so followers know when to expect you.
  • Speak the way your audience speaks. Kreyòl, English or French are all welcome.

Use hashtags and keywords

Every hashtag and keyword is searchable on KONBIT. Add a few hashtags that truly describe your post, such as #Konpa or #Kanaval, and use plain words people would type to find it.

Take part in groups and comments

Join groups that match your interests and add useful replies to discussions. Answer comments on your own posts. People follow those who talk with them, not only at them.

Share outside KONBIT

Share your profile link and your Woulo clips on WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram. Friends and family who tap the link can follow you in a few steps.

What not to do

  • Do not buy followers or use follow-for-follow spam.
  • Do not repost other people's videos as your own.
  • Do not mislead people about who you are.
These break the Community Guidelines and can lead to a removed badge or a suspended account.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to reach 500,000 followers?
There is no set time. It depends on what you post, how often, and how much people share it. Focus on steady, useful posts.
How do I request the verified badge?
Once you have 500,000 followers, open Settings, find the verification section, pick a category and tap Request badge. An admin reviews it. There is nothing else to do.
Does posting in Kreyòl help?
Post in the language your audience uses. Many Haitians on KONBIT read Kreyòl, and you can mix in English or French when it fits.
