KONBIT Community Guidelines

1. Respect and Harassment

KONBIT welcomes disagreement, criticism, debate, humor, and strong opinions.

However, disagreement must not become serious harassment or abuse.

Not Allowed

• Repeatedly target another person with severe harassment
• Make credible threats against another person
• Encourage others to harass or intimidate someone
• Engage in stalking
• Blackmail or extort another person
• Threaten to expose someone's private information
• Coordinate targeted harassment
• Use degrading attacks intended primarily to intimidate or seriously abuse another person
• Encourage self-harm or suicide as an attack against another person

Criticism of ideas, organizations, governments, public officials, public figures, political movements, institutions, and public conduct is generally allowed, provided the content does not otherwise violate these Guidelines.

2. Hate and Hateful Conduct

KONBIT does not allow content that promotes hatred, violence, exclusion, or severe dehumanization against people based on protected characteristics.

Protected characteristics may include:

• Race
• Ethnicity
• National origin
• Religion
• Sex
• Gender
• Sexual orientation
• Disability
• Other characteristics protected by applicable law

Not Allowed

• Calls for violence against a protected group
• Celebrates violence against people because of a protected characteristic
• Advocates systematic exclusion or persecution
• Describes protected groups as inherently subhuman in a manner intended to promote hatred or violence
• Encourages others to attack people because of a protected characteristic

Context matters. Educational, documentary, historical, counterspeech, newsworthy, artistic, or condemnatory discussion of hateful material may be permitted when it does not promote the underlying hateful conduct.

3. Violence and Threats

KONBIT prohibits credible threats and content intended to facilitate serious violence.

Not Allowed

• Make credible threats to kill or seriously injure another person
• Encourage imminent acts of serious violence
• Offer payment for violent attacks
• Coordinate violent attacks
• Provide another person's location for the purpose of facilitating violence
• Celebrate or encourage a specific ongoing violent attack in a manner likely to facilitate additional harm
• Use KONBIT to organize serious violent criminal activity

General political rhetoric, fictional violence, historical discussion, news reporting, documentary footage, self-defense discussions, or discussion of military and security issues is not automatically prohibited.

Context and intent matter.

4. Dangerous Organizations and Criminal Groups

KONBIT may allow discussion of gangs, terrorist organizations, violent extremist organizations, armed groups, criminal organizations, and other dangerous groups for legitimate purposes.

KONBIT must not be used to recruit for, materially facilitate, or coordinate serious violent or criminal activity.

Not Allowed

• Recruit members for terrorist or violent criminal organizations
• Coordinate attacks
• Facilitate kidnappings
• Facilitate trafficking
• Solicit participation in serious organized criminal activity
• Provide operational assistance for violent attacks
• Raise or transfer resources when doing so would violate applicable law
• Distribute material intended to directly facilitate violent criminal activity

Generally Allowed

• News reporting
• Political discussion
• Historical analysis
• Academic research
• Human-rights documentation
• Criticism or condemnation
• Government and security analysis
• Documentary material
• Counterspeech
• Discussion intended to understand or prevent violence

Merely mentioning, showing, interviewing, reporting on, or discussing a dangerous organization does not automatically constitute support for that organization.

5. Child Safety

KONBIT has zero tolerance for child sexual exploitation and abuse.

Users must be at least 13 years old to maintain a KONBIT account.

Strictly Prohibited

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
• Sexual imagery involving minors
• Sexual exploitation of minors
• Grooming of minors
• Sextortion involving minors
• Sexual solicitation of minors
• Sexual trafficking of minors
• Content sexualizing children in an exploitative manner
• Instructions for obtaining or distributing child sexual exploitation material

This applies to real, manipulated, and AI-generated content where prohibited by applicable law or these Guidelines.

KONBIT may immediately remove content and restrict or terminate accounts associated with suspected child sexual exploitation.

Where required or permitted by law, KONBIT may preserve relevant information and report qualifying matters to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) or appropriate law-enforcement authorities.

6. Sexual Exploitation and Non-Consensual Intimate Content

KONBIT prohibits sexual exploitation and abuse.

Not Allowed

• Non-consensual intimate images or videos
• Secretly recorded sexual imagery
• Sextortion
• Revenge pornography
• Intimate content obtained through hacking or theft
• Sexual content involving coercion
• Sexual trafficking
• Threats to distribute intimate material
• Manipulated intimate imagery depicting an identifiable person without consent
• AI-generated sexually explicit imagery depicting an identifiable real person without consent

A person's previous consent to create or privately share intimate material does not automatically constitute consent for public distribution.

7. Adult Sexual Content

KONBIT may restrict sexually explicit content in order to maintain an appropriate general-audience platform.

Users may not post:

• Pornographic videos or imagery
• Explicit depictions of sexual acts
• Content primarily intended to display explicit sexual activity
• Commercial sexual content prohibited by applicable law

KONBIT may make limited exceptions for legitimate medical, educational, artistic, documentary, or public-interest contexts.

8. Suicide and Self-Harm

KONBIT wants people to be able to discuss difficult experiences and seek support.

Users may discuss recovery, mental health, personal experiences, prevention, and awareness.

However, users may not use KONBIT to:

• Encourage another person to commit suicide
• Provide targeted instructions intended to facilitate suicide or serious self-harm
• Coordinate suicide or serious self-harm
• Mock or pressure a vulnerable individual into harming themselves

KONBIT may restrict content or take other safety measures when we reasonably believe there is a serious risk of harm.

9. Privacy, Doxxing, and Personal Information

Respect other people's privacy.

Not Allowed

Users may not disclose another person's sensitive personal information without authorization when doing so creates a meaningful risk of harassment, stalking, identity theft, fraud, or physical harm.

• Private home addresses
• Government identification numbers
• Financial-account information
• Login credentials
• Private medical records
• Highly sensitive personal records
• Real-time location information used to facilitate harm
• Private contact information shared for malicious purposes

Posting your own business contact information, public professional information, or information already intentionally made public does not automatically violate this rule.

Context matters.

10. Impersonation and Authenticity

KONBIT does not require every account to use a legal name unless otherwise specified.

Parody, commentary, fan accounts, and pseudonymous accounts may be allowed.

Users may not deceptively impersonate another person, organization, business, or government entity in order to:

• Defraud others
• Obtain money or information
• Damage another person's reputation through deception
• Mislead people about official communications
• Circumvent enforcement

Parody or fan accounts should be reasonably distinguishable from the person or organization being represented.

11. Fraud, Scams, and Deceptive Practices

KONBIT may not be used to defraud people.

Not Allowed

• Investment scams
• Romance scams
• Phishing
• Identity theft
• Advance-fee scams
• Fake giveaways
• Fraudulent fundraising
• Pyramid or Ponzi schemes
• Fake employment schemes
• Account theft
• Payment fraud
• Deceptive cryptocurrency schemes
• Selling stolen credentials
• Knowingly directing users to malicious websites

KONBIT may remove content, restrict accounts, or cooperate with lawful investigations involving suspected fraud.

12. Misinformation and Deceptive Content

KONBIT does not prohibit content simply because another person believes it is incorrect.

People are allowed to:

• Express opinions
• Debate disputed issues
• Criticize governments and institutions
• Discuss developing news
• Make predictions
• Share satire or parody
• Correct mistakes

KONBIT may restrict materially deceptive content where there is a significant risk of serious harm.

Examples may include:

• False information about how, when, or where people can vote
• Fraudulent emergency warnings
• Impersonation of emergency or government authorities
• Dangerous fabricated medical claims likely to cause serious physical harm
• Manipulated media presented deceptively in circumstances likely to cause serious harm
• Fraudulent financial representations

Where appropriate, KONBIT may use labels, context, reduced distribution, or other measures instead of removing content.

13. AI-Generated and Manipulated Media

AI-generated content is not automatically prohibited on KONBIT.

Users may create and share AI-generated artwork, entertainment, commentary, parody, and other lawful content.

AI or manipulated media may not be used to:

• Commit fraud
• Facilitate identity theft
• Create prohibited non-consensual intimate imagery
• Sexually exploit minors
• Falsely impersonate another person for malicious purposes
• Fabricate evidence to facilitate serious harm
• Evade other KONBIT policies

KONBIT may require labeling or disclosure of realistic AI-generated or materially manipulated media in certain circumstances.

14. Intellectual Property

Respect copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual-property rights.

Do not upload content that you do not own or have permission or another lawful basis to use.

KONBIT may remove content following valid intellectual-property complaints.

Copyright complaints and counter-notifications are handled under our Copyright and DMCA Policy.

Repeated copyright infringement may result in account termination.

15. Spam and Platform Manipulation

Users may not manipulate KONBIT's systems or artificially manufacture engagement.

Prohibited behavior may include:

• Mass unsolicited messaging
• Bot networks used without authorization
• Artificial likes, follows, views, or comments
• Coordinated fake engagement
• Malicious scraping
• Creating accounts at scale to evade enforcement
• Repeatedly posting deceptive links
• Malware distribution
• Interfering with KONBIT's technical systems

Legitimate businesses, creators, organizations, and community groups may promote themselves subject to KONBIT's applicable rules.

16. Illegal and Regulated Activity

Users may not use KONBIT to facilitate activity prohibited by applicable law.

KONBIT may restrict content involving illegal transactions, trafficking, stolen goods, controlled substances, weapons transactions, fraudulent documents, or other regulated goods and services where required by law or necessary for platform safety.

Educational, political, journalistic, historical, prevention, recovery, or policy discussions concerning these subjects may be permitted.

17. Political and Civic Discussion

Political expression is welcome on KONBIT.

Users may:

• Support or oppose political candidates
• Criticize governments
• Criticize political parties
• Discuss elections
• Discuss Haitian politics and public affairs
• Discuss international politics
• Advocate for policy changes
• Debate controversial issues
• Discuss protests
• Discuss policing, public safety, national security, and government institutions
• Organize lawful civic participation

KONBIT does not require political neutrality from individual users.

Political content remains subject to rules concerning threats, harassment, fraud, voter interference, illegal activity, and other applicable policies.

Criticism of KONBIT itself is also permitted.

18. Haitian Culture and Community

KONBIT was created with a strong connection to the Haitian community while remaining open to lawful participation from people of different backgrounds.

Users are encouraged to share and celebrate:

• Haitian Creole
• Haitian history
• Haitian art
• Music
• Food
• Traditions
• Community organizations
• Diaspora experiences
• Haitian businesses
• Civic initiatives
• Discussions concerning Haiti's future

Disagreement about Haitian politics, history, religion, culture, identity, or social issues is not itself a Community Guidelines violation.

KONBIT will seek to distinguish between legitimate disagreement and conduct that violates our safety rules.

19. Reporting Violations

Users may report content or accounts they believe violate these Guidelines.

Reports should be made through KONBIT's available reporting tools.

Where available, users may select the reason for their report and provide additional context.

Submitting a report does not guarantee removal.

KONBIT will evaluate reports according to these Guidelines, applicable law, context, available evidence, and platform-safety considerations.

Knowingly abusing reporting systems to harass users or manipulate moderation may itself result in enforcement.

20. Enforcement

Violating these Guidelines may result in one or more enforcement actions.

Depending on the circumstances, KONBIT may:

• Take no action after review
• Issue a warning
• Remove content
• Apply a content label
• Reduce distribution
• Remove content from recommendations
• Restrict messaging
• Restrict commenting
• Restrict livestreaming
• Restrict other features
• Temporarily suspend an account
• Permanently terminate an account
• Restrict creation of replacement accounts
• Take other reasonable safety measures

KONBIT may consider:

• Severity
• Context
• Intent
• Likelihood of harm
• Whether the violation is repeated
• Previous enforcement history
• Whether vulnerable people are involved
• Whether the conduct appears coordinated
• Applicable law
• Threats to platform or user safety

Severe violations may result in immediate permanent account termination without prior warnings where permitted by law.

21. Appeals

KONBIT recognizes that moderation decisions can sometimes be incorrect.

Where an appeal is available, eligible users may request review of certain:

• Content removals
• Account restrictions
• Suspensions
• Account terminations

An appeal should explain why the user believes the decision was incorrect or provide relevant context.

KONBIT may:

• Uphold the original decision
• Modify the enforcement action
• Reverse the decision and restore eligible content or account access

Submitting repeated abusive, fraudulent, or substantially identical appeals may result in restrictions on the appeals process.

Additional appeal procedures may be provided through KONBIT's Moderation and Appeals Policy.

Appeals Policy

22. Emergencies and Law Enforcement

KONBIT may preserve or disclose information when required by valid legal process or otherwise permitted by applicable law.

KONBIT may also take appropriate action where we reasonably believe there is an imminent risk of death or serious physical injury.

Law-enforcement requests should follow KONBIT's applicable legal-request procedures.

23. Context Matters

Not every appearance of prohibited material constitutes a violation.

When appropriate, KONBIT may consider whether content is being shared for:

• News reporting
• Education
• Documentary purposes
• Historical preservation
• Research
• Artistic expression
• Satire
• Counterspeech
• Public-interest discussion
• Human-rights documentation
• Condemnation of harmful conduct

These exceptions do not automatically protect content. KONBIT may still restrict material where the potential for harm substantially outweighs its contextual value or where applicable law requires action.

24. Changes to These Guidelines

KONBIT may update these Community Guidelines as the platform evolves, new safety risks emerge, or applicable laws and technologies change.

Material updates will be communicated where required or appropriate.

The current version will display its effective or last-updated date.
